Bhai Avtar Singh Khanda

Following a sustained campaign of targeted demonisation and direct threats from Indian officials and nationalist commentators Bhai Avtar Singh Khanda was taken ill on June 11th and died suddenly in the early hours of June 15th 2023.

A collective of Sikh organisations looked into the circumstances of Bhai Avtar Singh's death, these findings were shared at the funeral programme held on 12th August 2023 where Bhai Avtar Singh was declared a martyr of the Sikh nation.
